Our founding

As an annex to Godlwayo Primary, the present site was first used in 1987 with six (6) Form One (1) classes. The enrollment grew in leaps and bounds such that between the late 90s and early 2000s Amhlophe recorded a record 2500 students with each stream (Form 1 - 4) having 12 classes to make it 48 classes in total. Due to these high numbers, the classrooms could not accommodate all the classes therefore Form 1 and 2 classes were annexed to Babambeni Primary school for a few years until completion of more classrooms.

Preparing learners for the needs of the 21st Century

To Infinity and Beyond!

With Technology more important than ever, in 2017 we made a difficult but necessary decision to expand our WiFi coverage to all blocks in the school learning area. We are shifting our strategy to be in-line with the updated education curriculum so as to provide innovativeness, Entrepreneurship and addressing socio-economic challenges. We're making dramatic improvements to our core Internet link and have installed a state of the art authentication and monitoring Internet access system that will block students from accessing unauthorized sites. We continue to push for an increased pass rate and hope that with education outside the classrooms students will be able to collaborate, research and learn.
